About The Role
Sketchy is seeking a detail-oriented and people-first People Operations Associate to support our People Ops team and focus primarily on providing administrative support to the People Operations team at Sketchy. You will report to the Sr. People Operations Manager and play a pivotal role in the experience of employees from their candidate journey onwards. The ideal candidate is flexible, driven, and excited for new opportunities and the chance to grow their role at Sketchy.
Responsibilities
- Support various aspects of our employee lifecycle for full-time, part-time, and contract employees
- Support recruiting efforts as needed (scheduling phone screens, virtual interviews, handling last minute cancellations with professionalism, and posting jobs)
- Provide seamless support in managing new hire onboarding documentation (including offer letters, background checks, and I-9s) and help run company-wide onboarding
- Respond to and resolve all of our inbound HR queries (regarding benefits, onboarding, leaves, etc) in a timely and effective manner, escalating issues as needed. Send out company-wide announcements related to birthdays, anniversaries, and other HR changes.
- Take on and be part of projects that increase engagement, and development and will play a role in creating a positive impact on the employee experience
- Take comprehensive notes during meetings and conduct follow-ups on action items
- Support accounting and payroll processing with inbox management, data entry, and triage
- Perform HRIS administration tasks, including user setup/access, workflows, task builds and updates, data maintenance, and configuration updates
- Create systems administration documentation and user guides on an ongoing basis
- Provide administrative support to the People Ops team with benefits & payroll and prepare relevant reporting as needed.
- Assist People Ops with the development and implementation of People-related policies and processes to ensure organizational adherence to federal, state and local employment laws, as well as industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Own and create recurring reporting metrics utilizing HR technology to analyze critical employee data. Some examples of these metrics include total headcount, turnover, employee demographics, etc.
- Perform additional day-to-day administrative support when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional experience in an HR or People Operations Assistant or Coordinator role demonstrating operational excellence and a customer service mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- A people-centric attitude and drive to provide excellent employee experiences
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced or start-up environment
- Proficiency in G-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Forms)
